Rihaku

History

Founded in 1882, the brewery was branded "Rihaku" during 1928, which based on the famous Chinese poet, Li Bai. The poet was well known for his fondness of alcohol beverages, and would drink a lot before writing his masterpiece.

Located in the area of Matsue, a land surrounding by beautiful water, with a lot of historical features. The name "Izumo" is an old nation that is often mentioned in many legends, including sake brewing techniques passing down to Rihaku Brewery.
For Rihaku Brewery, Japanese sake holds a deep cultural root and it is their responsibilty to pass down its perspectives to future generation properly and universally.
Rihaku sake is often described with elegant vocabularies, and each type of sake references the poets of Li Bai as its brand image .
